From the perspective of how God fulfilled Old Testament
Covenants in Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
1994
"Lift Up The Cross"
From the perspective of Peter as
an old man in prison reminiscing about the Passion Week when visited in
prison by John Mark.
1995
"The Offer Still Stands"
From the perspective of Lazarus,
whom Jesus raised from the dead.
1996
"I Choose Jesus"
From the perspective of the Centurion,
who said: "Truly this was the son of God" when Jesus was on the cross.
1996 marked the first year that a Modern Day Scene was incorporated.
There were 3 short scenes demonstrating the power of Christ to heal the
life of a drug addict contemplating suicide, a broken marriage, and a fractured
relationship between a father and his son.
1997
"A Man After God's Own Heart"
This year marked the second time
the story was told through the eyes of Peter. Instead of telling
the story as an older man looking back, as he did in 1994, Peter told the
story of his failure and denial of the Lord, and how forgiveness was obtained.
The Modern Day story line revolved around Michelle, a young lady who rebelled
against her parents, and how the power of Christ healed their relationship.
1998
"Where Hope Is Still Alive"
From the perspective of Nicodemus,
a Jewish leader who helped take the body of Jesus down from the cross.
The Modern Day story featured Angela, a young lady whose pain and disillusionment
caused her to lose hope in people and the future. Through the understanding
of what Christ did on the cross, she found that hope was still alive.
1999
"One Life At A Time"
Told from the perspective of Mary
Magdelene, who was possessed with many demons, she is healed and given
a new life by Jesus. The Modern Day character, April, who was not
a Christian, found out that Jesus was still changing lives one at a time.
2000
"It Was His Grace"
From the perspective of Nicodemus,
a Jewish Leader who went to Jesus looking for answers, and the modern character,
Dr. Angela Harris, who attended Church, but needed to know Jesus personally.
2001
"Because I Love You"
From the perspective of Mary the
Mother, who found the baby she delivered would become her Deliverer, and
the modern character Molly Riley, who left her bitterness and anger for
the forgiveness and love she found in Jesus.
2002
"It Was My Cross"
From the perspective of Barabbas
who struggles with the fact that Jesus died on the cross meant for him,
and the modern character, Sam, who lets the circumstances of his
life keep him from accepting the peace that only Jesus can bring.
2003
"I Will Follow Christ"
The play was portrayed through the eyes of the Biblical
character, Thomas and the Modern Character, Penny, who must overcome their
doubts about Christ's death on the cross and His glorious resurrection

2004
"By The Way of the Cross"
The play was portrayed through the eyes of the Modern Character
Story Teller, Joe, who presents the message of Jesus to Frank & Missy. Both of
them must overcome their doubts about whether Jesus' death on the cross was
the payment for their sin.
The play was portrayed through the eyes of the Biblical
character, Matthew, who was a tax collector, along with 3 other disciples,
Peter, James & John. They all learned the truth through their walk with the
Master. The Modern Characters are US soldiers who are fighting for their
country. One serves God with all his heart and the other went to church, but
never really came to know, the Master of the church, Jesus Christ.
The Biblical character whose eyes we look through in I
Surrender All is Joseph of Arimathea, who was a Jewish leader that became a
secret follower of Christ. The modern characters were best friends in high
school and now have returned for a Class Re-union. All of these characters
will come to realize that nothing or noone can bring them the peace they
desire, but Jesus Christ, Himself.
