New shoes again?
I remember as a kid getting new shoes. I usually liked
getting new shoes. I liked going to get something new.
However, sometimes I had to buy new shoes
because my feet had grown. That meant a pair of shoes
I liked, I was no longer be able to wear.
As I said a moment ago, we sometimes like
getting new shoes. The other ones are old. We want
something new. Other times we do not want new
shoes. We like the old ones. We get angry because
we can no longer fit our foot into those old shoes.
As we notice our teen group, one thing can be said about it, we
are gaining some new people. It can be exciting to see new
people. But for some growing is not exciting. Some
people like things the way they were. When new people come
in that means change. Some people do not like change.
However, Jesus would want us to love all
people. At some point in the past, we all were the new
person. It was good when people treated us nice. May
we be encouraged to treat others the way Jesus would want us to
treat them. |
A Note to Parents:
